1. 청결 상태 – 기대 이상으로 만족
호텔 내부는 전반적으로 깨끗하고 정돈된 느낌이었습니다.
이전에 홍콩 내 다른 호텔에서 진드기(벌레) 문제가 있어 걱정했는데, 이곳은 그런 문제가 전혀 없었어요. 침구 상태도 매우 청결했고, 욕실도 깔끔하게 유지되어 있었습니다.
2. 조식 – 출장객들에게 특히 좋음
조식도 만족스러웠습니다. 메뉴 구성도 좋았고, 분위기도 차분하고 깔끔했어요.

호텔 자체가 꽤 큰 편이라 로비도 넓고 여유로웠습니다. 객실 내에는 금고와 샤워가운, 다리미, 다림판까지 준비되어 있어서 출장이나 격식 있는 외출을 준비하는 분들께도 편리할 것 같아요. 방 크기도 넉넉해서 캐리어 2개는 충분히 펼칠 수 있는 공간이었습니다.
4. 주변 위치 – 전시회장 접근성 최고
호텔에서 Shanghai New International Expo Centre까지 택시로 약 10분 거리라, 전시회나 컨벤션 행사 참가자에겐 최적의 위치예요. 프론트 직원에게 이야기하면 목적지 주소와 택시 번호가 적힌 카드를 주는데, 이걸 보여주면 기사님이 바로 인식하고 정확하게 목적지까지 갈 수 있어요. 홍콩 시내에서는 대부분 택시 기사들이 영어를 하지 않아서, 중국어 주소가 적힌 카드를 미리 준비하는 게 매우 중요합니다.
5. 직원 친절도
직원들 역시 전반적으로 친절한 편이었습니다. 다만, 로비에 4명 정도의 직원이 있었는데 영어로 의사소통이 가능한 직원은 1명뿐이었습니다. 그래서 체크인이나 문의를 할 때 사람이 몰리면 대응이 다소 느려질 수 있어요. 하지만 직원들의 태도가 친절해서 큰 불편은 없었습니다.
6. 마무리 한 줄 평
전체적으로 깔끔하고 쾌적한 호텔이었으며, 출장·관광 모두에 적합한 숙소였습니다. 특히 전시회 참가를 목적으로 한 비즈니스 여행객에게는 최고의 위치와 편의를 제공한다고 생각해요.

During my recent trip to Hong Kong, I stayed for three nights at the DoubleTree by Hilton Shanghai–Pudong. Whether you’re visiting for leisure or business, I think my experience could help you decide if this hotel is a good fit.
Cleanliness – Spotless and Well-Maintained
The hotel was noticeably clean and tidy. I had previously encountered a bedbug issue at another hotel in Hong Kong, so cleanliness was something I paid close attention to. Thankfully, there were no such problems here. The bedding was fresh, and the bathroom was spotless. Everything felt well-maintained.
Breakfast – Great for Business Travelers
The breakfast was satisfying, both in terms of quality and atmosphere.
I happened to stay during a time when there was an event at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, so many guests were business travelers. Despite the crowd, the breakfast area remained calm and comfortable—a great start to the day if you have a busy schedule ahead.
Room & Facilities – Spacious and Well-Equipped
The hotel itself is quite large, with a spacious and welcoming lobby.
My room was generously sized, easily accommodating two large suitcases. It came with useful amenities such as a safe, bathrobe, iron, and ironing board—great for anyone who needs to look polished for meetings or events.
Location – Very Close to the Expo Centre
One major advantage is its proximity to the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, just about 10 minutes away by taxi.
If you ask the front desk, they’ll provide a card with your destination and taxi number written in Chinese. This makes it super easy to communicate with drivers, as most taxi drivers in Hong Kong don’t speak English. I tried speaking English a few times and was answered in Chinese, so having a printed card with the address was a lifesaver.
Staff Friendliness – Kind, but Limited English
The staff were friendly and polite overall. However, only one out of four lobby staff members could speak English, which occasionally caused delays when more guests needed assistance.
Still, their courteous attitude made the experience pleasant despite the minor language barrier.
Final Thoughts
In short, this hotel is clean, spacious, and well-suited for both tourists and business travelers. If you’re attending an event at the expo centre, it’s especially convenient. Just make sure to use the taxi card system for smooth communication.
